北海国际同济会是在槟城国际同济会赞助的特别仪式下，于二零零二年五月廿六日在槟城贵都酒店组成。经槟州社团注册局于二零零三年三月九日批准北海国际同济会的成立。北海国际同济会在二零零三年九月廿七日，於北海珍珠酒店举行第一届成立就职仪式。创会长朱苑鸣会友以及理事委员们在马来西亚国际同济会来届总会长，Neville Fernandez一生的带领下就职。北海国际同济会也非常荣幸能邀请到副内政部长，拿督曹智雄先生为大会的贵宾。
国际同济会是一个专注服务全世界儿童的慈善团体。身为国际同济会的一份子，北海国际同济会将时时遵从国际同济会的宗旨，为那些不幸及需要帮助的孩子服务。
我们其他地区的社区服务是支持及给予义务的工作：捐款予麦曼珍智障中心及北海自闭教育中心。拜访双溪大年的孤儿院及美罗老人院。探望双溪巴辖中央医院极大山脚中央医院的儿童病房。

The Kiwanis Club of Butterworth was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Georgetown. It was formed during the Speical Presentation on Kiwanis on the May 26, 2002 in Hotel Equatorial, Penang.
The Registrat of Societies approved the registration of the Kiwanis Club of Butterworth on March 9, 2003. We hosted our Charter Night and the 1st Installation Banquet on September 27, 2003 at Pearl View Hotel, Prai. Our Charter President Kwn Mandee Chee Yook Meng was installed together with her board of Directors by the Governor Elect of Kiwanis Malaysia, Kwn Dr. Neville Fernandez. Our Guest of Honor was YB Dato Chor Chee Heung then Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.
As part of the Kiwanis International, an organization focused on serving the Children of the World, the Kiwanis Club of Butterworth's main thrust has been and will always be to serve the needs of underprivileged children.
Our other areas of community service include support, volunteer assistance and donations to the Mak Mandin Mentally Retarded Centre, Butterworth Educational Autistic Centre, Sungai Petani Orphanage Centre, Bidong Old Folks Home and Children's wad in the Sungai Bakap and Bukit Mertajam Hospital.
We appreciate contributions of your moral support, time, money or even goods in kind. Join in our community service projects and fund raisers as “Friends of Kiwanis”or better still, come and be a part of us.
